Please join me in congratulating John P. Sullivan on becoming director of Human Resources & Administration (HR&A) effective immediately. With a proven track record of fostering a positive workplace culture and driving initiatives that enhance shipbuilder engagement and leadership development, John will utilize his nearly 20 years at Ingalls to lead the Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Diversity & Inclusion teams.
Moving forward, John will bring his experience in human resources to Ingalls, leading team members in the development and implementation of policies and strategies to support organizational and leadership development, engagement and workforce retention. In addition, John will lead orientation and onboarding, career counseling, and division mentoring programs.
During his tenure at Ingalls, John has held positions of increasing strategic responsibility on Ingalls’ Talent Management team. He has direct experience in designing and leading the division’s engagement and mentoring programs and has coordinated multiple workforce initiatives related to leadership and workforce development, including the implementation of Ingalls’ annual Gallup Shipbuilder Engagement Survey.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. In addition, he also holds several certifications including Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Clifton Strengths Coach, and Professional Co-Active Coach.
