Congratulations to our newly elected Culture Connector Advisory Council! Elected by shipbuilders, they will direct the work of the advisory committees and maintain alignment with business objectives of the Culture Connectors.

Networking Chair: Ky’Ara Davis, Shipbuilder Concierge Lead, Human Resources & Administration
Service/Volunteer Chair: Marquitta Buxton, Subcontracts Administrator, Supply Chain Management 

As chair of the Communications Committee, Sunny Rasavong will make sure important messages are shared clearly across the shipyard. The committee works with the Shipbuilder Engagement Team to maintain effective communication channels and distribute key information. 

“I would like continue improving communication and awareness of events, programs and opportunities,” said Sunny. “My goal is to create engaging content, increase participation and ensure everyone across the organization feels informed, represented and connected.” 

Julie Bryan will lead the Education Committee, helping plan and deliver professional development and educational programs for all shipbuilders. The committee is responsible for guiding how these programs are built and making sure the content supports continuous learning for everyone across the shipyard. 

“I want my fellow shipbuilders to feel inspired to grow in their roles and equipped to meet their personal and professional goals,” said Julie. “It is this desire to help others reach their goals which has inspired me to serve as Education Committee chair.” 

By supporting engagement and recruitment efforts, Sara Tuite will oversee the Membership Committee by promoting participation and highlighting the value of joining Culture Connectors.  

“I care deeply about lifting others up, creating engagement and making sure everyone feels included and valued,” said Sara. “During my term, I want to bring fresh ideas that make membership feel exciting, accessible and meaningful.” 

Building connections in the shipyard will be the focal point for Networking Committee Chair Ky’Ara Davis. She will support the creation and execution of networking initiatives across the organization by creating inclusive, engaging and recurring networking opportunities for shipbuilders. 

“As the Networking Chair, I want our events reach all shipbuilders as an opportunity to develop cross-departmental relationships,” said Ky’Ara. “Ultimately, I want the culture we’re shaping at Ingalls to speak for itself—reflecting connection, compassion and a shared responsibility to help one another grow.” 

With support from the Community Relations department, Marquitta Buxton excel in her role as Service Committee Chair. She will lead volunteerism and community service events by supporting company involvement through recruiting, training and organizing volunteers while upholding high standards of representation and reporting.
 

“Service is embedded in me as I enjoy serving the needs of others,” said Marquitta. “I’m excited to create opportunities that positively impact lives within Ingalls and our surrounding communities, and ensure our service is intentional, visible and meaningful.” 

And last but certainly not least, please congratulate our new Advisors At Large! They are responsible for supporting council engagement, participation and cross-committee communication.
