Ingalls Cares | Community Partner Workshop

Community partnerships play a huge role in ways to make an impact locally. Ingalls Shipbuilding hosted a community partner workshop as a way to stay engaged with organizations our shipbuilders care about.

With more than 50 partner agency representatives in attendance, discussions on how and why Ingalls engages in community activities and ways to work with our partner agencies to be impactful took place.

“These community agencies are doing tremendous good in our community,” said Lisa Bradley, Manager, Corporate Stewardship and Community Relations. “The work they do ensures our shipbuilders have access to the resources and services they need.”

During the workshop, Ingalls awarded grants to five organizations for board training and strategic planning, and awarded vehicles to three organizations through the company’s Wheels in Motion grants.

“These organizations create strong, desirable places for our shipbuilders to live and support the causes that are important to all of us,” said Bradley. “We hope the awards will make their jobs just a little easier.”
