Eric Wright, former VP Operations of Warfare Systems, didn’t expect a spotlight moment when he walked into the Dayton Dragons ballpark ahead of his July 2 retirement. But after more than 42 years of service at HII, the Dragons presented a heartfelt tribute: a custom jersey designed specifically to honor his decades of support and partnership.
In addition to his career, Wright played a key role in building HII’s long-standing relationship with the Dragons. His efforts helped establish the sponsorship and suite that employees now enjoy through the Mission Starts at Home program; a connection that continues to bring colleagues, team, families and friends together venues local to their area.
“Programs like this help build a positive workplace and give employees and their families the chance to enjoy a great afternoon or evening together,” said Scott Bostic, an HII systems administrator in the Dayton office. “In today’s busy world, opportunities like these create memories that last long after the game is over.”
The dedication for Wright marks an extraordinary career and a legacy of connection that brings teammates together and strengthens the everyday bonds that make HII feel like a community.
