Mission Technologies President Andy Green discussed the division’s growth on a recent episode of the DEFAERO Daily Pod.
“We’re very proud of what we’ve done here at Mission Technologies and the growth that we’ve achieved over the past few years,” he said. “If you look back a few years, we actually made a very strategic decision to focus on certain areas—like cyber, like AI, like unmanned systems, like advanced modeling and simulation—areas that we knew were critical to our customers’ needs and our national security, and we knew that that it was these were areas that were going to be poised for growth. … We’ve done a lot of portfolio shaping over the years to get our business aligned with our national security strategy, and that’s where we are now.”
Asked about the potential for a merger or another acquisition, Green said: “We’ve got such a strong portfolio. We built and shaped that portfolio the way we want it. We don’t have to do M&A. We could do M&A—if it made sense and it was something we were particularly interested in—but we don’t have to to be successful.”
