Doris Jones, a program cost control analyst at Mission Technologies, received HII’s Compass Award for Compliance on Aug. 22. The award, presented annually by HII’s senior staff, celebrates employees who make outstanding contributions to the company’s culture of integrity and ethical conduct.
“This recognition was most unexpected, and quite frankly, I’m still speechless,” Jones said. “I’m honored that the team nominated me. To me, it means someone is paying attention to the things that I do even when I don’t think they are.”
Throughout her 25 years at HII, Jones said, her driving force for success has been “to do my best and help the teams I support.” When asked about what she enjoys most about her career, she said: “the people I have had the honor of working alongside.”
Outside of work, Jones enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling. Fun fact: She shares a birthday, Jan. 2, with her third grandchild.
