HII Team Supports Successful Execution of the 2026 Munitions Science and Technology Summit

HII employees in the Mission Technologies All Domain Operations (ADO) group supported the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Science and Technology (OASW (S&T)) Munitions Technologies Office in coordinating and executing the 2026 Munitions Science and Technology Summit, held at the U.S. Naval Academy Aug. 11–13.

The summit brought together more than 300 government and industry leaders to review, discuss and collaborate on the top challenges and emerging opportunities shaping the future of munitions employment across the Department of War. The event served as a key forum for aligning science and technology priorities with operational needs across the joint force.

HII provides ongoing support to both the OASW (S&T) director of Munitions Technologies and the Department of Defense/Department of Energy Joint Munitions Program (JMP). This work includes helping identify, assess and develop munitions technology investments and long‑range strategies that enhance joint capabilities. All support is delivered under the Joint Network of Engineering and Emerging Operations (JNEEO) task order within the ADO portfolio.
