Some wins redefine what a team is capable of. MAJESTIC was one of those wins.
With only 30 days on the clock, in a secure and highly constrained environment, the MAJESTIC team set out to build a Tier I proposal strong enough to unseat an entrenched incumbent in a market that had been closed to HII for years. The odds were steep. The schedule had zero margin. The workspace was cramped. Access was limited. IT resources were minimal. But the team never flinched.
Instead, they innovated. They rotated Secure Compartmented Facility coverage, pulled in nontraditional contributors, and created workarounds to keep momentum alive. When constraints threatened progress, they didn’t accept the status quo — they applied a disciplined Design to Win approach, refining each solution with ruthless focus on customer priorities and HII’s strengths.
Over 700 hours of nights, weekends, and extended workdays went into synchronizing capture, solutioning, and technical expertise into a compelling “takeaway” proposal. And it worked. MAJESTIC delivered $185M in new revenue, 151 cleared FTEs aligned to WS IT, and immediate credibility in a previously closed market. Within weeks, new teaming requests began rolling in.
Despite tight security and limited resources, the MAJESTIC team showed that our culture thrives by adapting coverage, welcoming new contributors, and innovating to sustain momentum. This achievement creates more cleared roles, greater mobility, and demonstrates our commitment to investing in teams that deliver results. The impact is clear—a win that boosts our brand credibility, strengthens customer trust, and supports our goal to be the employer of choice in defense technology.
