HII reported fourth-quarter and full-year financial results on Feb. 5, with total revenues reaching $12.5 billion—an 8.2% increase over 2024.
Mission Technologies accounted for $3 billion in sales, up 3.6% from the previous year.
Defense Daily noted that operating income more than doubled at Mission Technologies, citing improved performance across the Warfare Systems, Global Security and Unmanned Systems groups. The outlet added that Mission Technologies achieved “record sales … the first time the segment crossed $3 billion.”
GovConWire highlighted several Mission Technologies milestones shared by HII President and CEO Chris Kastner during the earnings call, including:
- Development of the U.S. Army’s high‑energy laser weapon system.
- Debut of the GRIMM electronic warfare system.
- Delivery of Lionfish small unmanned underwater vehicles to the U.S. Navy.
- Rollout of the ROMULUS unmanned surface vessel family powered by HII’s Odyssey autonomy software suite.
“In summary, the Mission Technologies team is executing well,” Kastner said, “and we are confident in continuing this success, particularly given how closely our portfolio maps to our defense customers’ needs.”
