Please join me in congratulating Lars Rundberg on his role as ship construction manager for the entire DDG 1000 class. Bringing with him 20-plus years of waterfront experience, Lars will lead and support the team doing the important upgrade work across the DDG 1000 program.
With a background in naval design and construction, Lars previously served as general ship superintendent for the program. Prior to that, Lars worked as a marine technical engineer and in project management, serving multiple teams, including ships management, machinery, marine technical, integrated logistics system and the LPD program office.
Lars holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management from Oklahoma State University, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A confident leader, Lars takes pride in working with a diverse group of world-class shipbuilders to solve constantly evolving challenges as we deliver the world’s most capable and survivable ships to the military.
