Mission Technologies’ Fleet Sustainment business group recently presented an “Honorary Team Member” certificate to Pat Hudgins, whose husband, Jeff Hudgins, passed away in May after more than 30 years of service as a technical subject matter expert—mostly with HII and AMSEC.

The certificate read, in part: “Mrs. Hudgins was devoted to supporting her husband and his coworkers’ morale as they worked through notoriously difficult conditions and demanding schedules to maintain the U.S. Navy submarine fleet. … Mrs. Hudgins’ dedication embodies the spirit of the ‘work family’ that so importantly ties together the HII team.”

Fleet Sustainment President Ryan Norris, who presented the certificate and a memorial clock to Pat in Virginia Beach, added: “Pat modeled employee engagement through the care she provided over the years to our teams while they were on the road away from home.”

Jeff worked for Natasha LaFon, a manager in Fleet Sustainment’s Platform Modernization operation, for the last 10 years of his career. “Jeff was a true team player, and it was an absolute honor to have been part of his professional journey,” she said. “He will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.”
