HII hosted a networking reception on the opening night of the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual meeting and exposition, which took place Oct. 9-11 in Washington, D.C.
The intent was to build brand visibility with the Army and key Australian stakeholders as HII explores growth opportunities—especially those created by AUKUS, the trilateral security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and the U.S.
More than 120 people attended, including representatives from the Army, the Australian Government, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and more than 70 defense peers.
“This year’s event was a tremendous success on all accounts,” said Doug Jankovich, vice president of business development in HII’s Mission Technologies division. “The reception provided an ideal opportunity to create new and strengthen existing relationships with people representing government and industry, all while expanding their understanding of what HII has to offer.”
HII is expanding its scope of Army work, enhancing collaboration and interoperability in the contested battlespace. HII also has an office in Canberra, Australia, and is exploring opportunities to expand its partnership with the Australian Government. This is the second consecutive year HII has hosted the AUSA reception.
