Organizational Announcement
I am pleased to announce that Brad Trumbaturi has been promoted to Director of Machinery. In this role, Brad will lead the team in building, installing and testing machinery systems across all ship classes. He will be responsible for improving cost and schedule performance, driving progress on key safety and quality initiatives, and supporting the development and growth of the shipbuilders on his team. He will also work closely with other crafts and departments to ensure strong execution of machinery deliverables from planning through final trials.
An Ingalls shipbuilder for more than 25 years, Brad previously held the position of Engineering Test & Trials Manager. With a proven track record of navigating challenges and delivering successful outcomes, he brings expertise in Test & Trials, Program Management and Engineering to this role. In addition to a strong focus on safety, Brad is also known for his hands-on approach, strong communication skills and ability to bring teams together to solve problems.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans. He is also a past recipient of the Ingalls President’s Award.
Additionally, I’d like to recognize the assignment of Robert Peden as Test & Trials general superintendent. Robert brings a wealth of knowledge to the department at a critical time as we work to grow and strengthen our expertise in Test. I appreciate him stepping into this important role and contributing his experience to support the team.
