Ingalls shipbuilders have an incredible opportunity to see their hard work come to life as we celebrate the commissioning of Richard M. McCool Jr. (LPD 29) on Saturday, September 7, at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida.
The commissioning ceremony is one of the most significant milestones in the life of a ship. At the end of the ceremony, LPD 29 will hoist its colors and commissioning pennant, marking the ship’s acceptance as a unit of the operating forces of the U.S. Navy.
