Fellow Shipbuilders,
As we navigate through a pivotal time for our customers, our nation and our shipyard, we are continually reminded of the value of what we do here at Ingalls. As we execute our current contracts and anticipate what will be required in the coming years, we always strive to best position ourselves to be successful. This is why we are making the following investments in our future, effective immediately:
Randy Padgett, a dedicated, nearly 35-year shipbuilder and champion of teaching shipbuilders, will guide our emerging leaders in institutionalizing best practices in bill management across our portfolio until his much-deserved retirement later this year. We are so grateful for his service and wish him the very best.
Johnny Nungesser will focus his vast experience in mission systems and problem-solving skills on the integration of complex shipboard systems and components across all programs and disciplines.
David Davis will assume the lead for a combined Test & Trials and Ships Management organization, leveraging his in-depth knowledge of system completion and test to ensure operational excellence.
Mike Pruitt will take the lead for craft management, ensuring all ships have the skilled people and necessary resources to meet commitments across all programs.
Royce Winbush and Doug Tait will continue their critical work on LHA 8 to ensure the safety of shipbuilders and the care and protection of our ship while completing compartments, testing systems and making milestone events to finish the ship.
Davianne Stokes will assume the lead role on LHA 8, with the responsibility for leading, supporting and enabling the team to achieve success in getting the ship to sea and ultimately to delivery.
These changes are important as we look to our future. Please extend your full support to these shipbuilders in their new and continued roles. We are stronger together, and we win or lose as a team.
Thank you for choosing to be an Ingalls shipbuilder,
Kari Wilkinson
President, Ingalls Shipbuilding
