Help us showcase your shipbuilding legacy by having your future shipbuilder enter the Ingalls Holiday Card Contest!
Family members of Ingalls shipbuilders, ages 5-11, are encouraged to submit their original artwork for the contest. This year’s contest has been extended to include any family member of shipbuilders (i.e., child, grandchild, stepchild, sibling, niece/nephew, cousin, etc.).
The deadline to submit artwork is Friday, October 4.
The winning entry will be featured as the printed holiday card sent out by Ingalls to all shipbuilders and community partners. The winning artwork will also be featured in the Anchor. All artwork submitted will be enlarged and displayed around campus throughout the holiday season.
All submissions should be holiday-themed with a connection to ships, shipbuilders and the shipyard.
Submit entries in one of the blue drop boxes located throughout the shipyard.
Submission guidelines:
- Deadline: Friday, October 4
- Theme: Must include at least one Ingalls-built ship AND holiday decorations/scenery
- Size: 8.5”x11”
- Materials: Full-color, including paints, markers, pen/ink, canvas, cardstock, foamcore, and/or multimedia materials (No digital art please)
- Allowable Entries per Child: Up to three
Information required on the back of each entry:
- Child’s first and last name
- Child’s grade and age
- Shipbuilder’s first and last name
- Shipbuilder’s badge number
- Shipbuilder’s phone number
- Shipbuilder’s email address
- Shipbuilder’s department
- Relationship to the artist
