At Ingalls, we don’t just build ships that protect our nation; we also build legacies that span generations within families and communities. For more than 85 years, thousands of shipbuilders have made Ingalls their home, creating a legacy of hard work and dedication that supports their families and shapes their futures.
We want to honor the generations of shipbuilders who have become an integral part of our shipbuilding story. Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new legacy, we want to hear from you.
First-Generation Shipbuilders: If you are the first in your family to work at Ingalls and are creating a new legacy, please share your story by filling out this form: First-Generation Shipbuilder Form (tfaforms.com)
Multi-Generation Shipbuilders: If you have family members — past or present — who have worked at Ingalls, please tell us about your family’s story by filling out this form: Multi-Generation Shipbuilder Form (tfaforms.com)
What’s Involved:
- Photos: Provide a photo of a family member who worked at Ingalls before you and inspires you to continue the legacy, or of a loved one who inspires you to build your own legacy. You can upload photos on the form at the above link, send them via email to Lindsay.Knowles@hii-ingalls.com or deliver them in person to the Integrated Communications & Stakeholder Engagement department in Admin 1.
- Portrait Session: You will have a photo session with Ingalls photographers. Additional details about this will be provided to you via email. No charge code is available; flex or manager-approved PTO must be used.
- Narrative: Write a short story (150 words or less) about your family’s shipbuilding legacy or a loved one who inspires you to create your own legacy. Assistance is available if needed.
We look forward to celebrating the rich history and future of our shipbuilding families.
