“I come from Richmond, so I was excited to see these ships when I first started. People gave me the nickname ‘Mr. Shipyard’ because it was all I could talk about. I went to school on a music scholarship as a snare drummer and got my bachelor’s in human resource management. In music, everyone has to come together to make one collaboration – especially on the snare line. If our timing is off, everything is off. I bring that mindset here with my personal motto, ‘Eye for detail.’ Having an eye for detail and making sure our work is correct helps the shipyard capture first-time quality.”
