Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Visits NNS

NEWPORT NEWS SHIPBUILDING

Newport News Shipbuilding hosted Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on January 5. His visit marked the first stop in 2026 of his “Arsenal of Freedom Tour” and is a solid confirmation of how important the work we are doing here is to our nation. During his visit to the shipyard, Hegseth met with HII and NNS leadership and spent a significant time interacting directly with shipbuilders and sailors.
