Mission Technologies’ Veterans Alliance Network (VAN) employee resource group hosted a tailgate barbecue at the San Diego Padres’ Military Appreciation Day on June 23.
VAN members from Mission Technologies’ Fleet Sustainment and LVC Solutions business groups participated.
“It was a great turnout,” said Timothy P. McCue, vice president of platform and modernization for Mission Technologies’ Fleet Sustainment business group. “The HII team was manning the grills and were able to pump out hot dogs and hamburgers for the entire crowd as well as serve a few displaced veterans in the area. Lots of cold beverages allowed us to beat the heat!”
“We deeply appreciate the VAN’s support,” McCue added. “We signed up several new members and spread the word that HII is a great place to continue serving the nation once you’ve completed your commitment to your respective service!”
