Mission Technologies employees donated nearly $9,000 worth of school supplies to Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade.
Operation Homefront distributed the supplies to military families serving in Corpus Christi, Texas; Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; and Fair Lakes, McLean, Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
“Throughout the collection period, we received messages from employees sharing their passion for education and thanking the division for hosting the drive,” said Miranda Williams, manager of EEO and diversity. “This was a great way to bring the workforce together to make a direct impact and contribution to families who are serving our nation.”
Williams is currently soliciting ideas for community service projects for Mission Technologies’ fifth annual Global Day of Caring, which will take place on Nov. 2.
