Delivering the Advantage at WEST 2024

Mission Technologies made waves at the AFCEA WEST 2024 conference, which took place Feb. 13-15 in San Diego, California.

Mission Technologies’ subject matter experts brought the division’s latest naval technologies to the forefront, captivating attendees with interactive demonstrations and expert insights into platforms, technologies and solutions that deliver the advantage to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps teams, specifically in the Indo-Pacific region.

Throughout the conference, HII welcomed numerous flag officers, including Adm. Samuel Paparo, Vice Adm. Michael Boyle, Vice Adm. Cheever, Vice Adm. Craig Clapperton, Vice Adm. Andrew Tiongson and Rear Adm. Tom Anderson. Their presence emphasized the significance of HII’s contributions to national defense and our dedication to delivering the advantage.

Mission Technologies’ team members shared their enthusiasm for the mission.

“HII is so much more than shipbuilding,” said Andrew McDowell, development manager in Mission Technologies’ Cyber, EW and Space business group, who showcased HII’s Command and Control on the Move (C2 OTM) solution. “We bring a lot of technology to all domains of warfare, whether it’s electromagnetic catapults, fully integrated comms, world-class survivability and more.”

Martha Ryder, capture manager in the CEW&S business group, emphasized the importance of Mission Technologies’ SABERHUNT solution. “I enjoyed meeting with our Navy cyber teams to talk about our deployable sensor and how easy our kit is going to be to take on mission, whether that’s on ship or land,” she said.
