HII demos variety of technologies at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

HII Mission Technologies showcased its game-changing live, virtual, constructive (LVC) training technologies last week at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

The Innovation Cell in Wright-Patterson’s Simulators Division, part of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Agile Combat Support, hosted its first company-focused tech demo event with HII on July 16. The event featured table-top demos and briefings highlighting the breadth of Mission Technologies’ LVC training solutions, including digital engineering, digital material management, data visualization, XR/AR, and exercise planning and execution.

“It was great being able to host HII for presentations of state-of-the-art government off-the-shelf (GOTS) products at our Innovation Cell lab,” said Col. Matt Ryan, Senior Materiel Leader for the Air Force’s Simulators Division, which manages the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) program. “The HII suite of solutions provided insights to our program teams and sparked ideas for how to leverage available GOTS products for our various mission sets. We are grateful to HII for showcasing capabilities to get after our complex challenges to advance warfighter training and look forward to continued collaboration.”

Mike Aldinger, a vice president of business development at Mission Technologies, said the demo day event provided “an outstanding forum” for HII to demonstrate its commitment to enterprise and GOTS solutions for advancing Air Force training priorities.

“This is a new approach for the Innovation Cell,” Aldinger said, “and HII was proud to participate with solutions relevant to the AFLCMC mission. The JSE, as their top priority, was a primary focus area. JSE will not only revolutionize aircrew training, but also challenges the USAF and industry to develop cost-effective, open-source solutions to promote stakeholder collaboration and innovation across DoD. A big thank you goes out to the many AFLCMC teams who made the time to attend the event. It’s ignited broader opportunities to work with the USAF teams and get after the challenging problems to the benefit of the warfighter.”
