Since January 2025, Newport News Shipbuilding Charleston Operations has continued to ramp up its production in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
NNS Charleston Operations exceeded its production targets in 2025, supporting both aircraft carrier and submarine construction projects.
“Delivering ships to the Navy, especially at a time like now, it’s extremely important to get on-time delivery with an emphasis on quality,” said Alex Cox, a foreman at NNS Charleston Operations. “I express to my team every day the importance of what we do, how long these ships will be under extreme amounts of stress, and how critical their roles are.”
