Newport News shipbuilder Deon J. Tabb (X11) was recently selected for the Security Star Award for outstanding security performance and engagement. Competition was keen, however, Tabb was a standout among several competitors in both merits of performance and rendered security services. Tabb recognized a threat, remembered his training – “see something, say something” – and his actions had an immediate impact on NNS safety, security posture and outcomes.
This honor recognizes those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to help maintain the safety and security of the company, fellow shipbuilders and the nation’s warfighters.
