“I’ve worked my way up to being a construction supervisor on third shift, but I came in as a fitter. One key to being successful here is to form good relationships, both up and down your structure, and lean on those folks. Something people may not know about me is that I’ve dabbled in acting, and I have two independent films on Tubi. Way back when I was a safety task team lead, the company allowed me to make a movie called “Necessity: Mother of Invention,” and we were sent to the Ergo Cup competition in Dallas. I guess you could say that I’ve acted like a shipbuilder all of these years.”
