Mission Technologies employees in Corpus Christi, Texas, got a head start on Global Day of Caring, supporting community service events on Sept. 19 and Oct. 16.
“Eight team members devoted months of service to the ARK Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth’s annual gala,” said Michael Brady, an aircraft engineering program manager at Mission Technologies. “Their hands-on support—from auction management to event coordination—helped raise over $100,000 for children in crisis.”
The event drew nearly 700 participants and featured more than 570 auction items, directly supporting the ARK’s mission of providing emergency shelter and assessment services for up to 61 children at a time.
In another community event, 11 teammates supported the International Seafarer’s Center’s (ISC) Lobster Feast, managing auction activities and serving 800 lobster meals to event attendees and seafarers in port.
“The event raised approximately $40,000 while serving a diverse international maritime community,” Brady said. “Some meals went directly to ships’ crews, including one vessel with Greek, Albanian, Russian, Ukrainian and Filipino seafarers.”
“Through these events, our teams demonstrated how we show up for our community, mobilizing nearly 20 volunteers to help raise $140,000 for our community,” Brady said. “This marks a nice beginning to our annual Global Day of Caring initiatives, setting a strong foundation for continued impact.”
