Dear HII Teammates,
As we honor veterans this week, I invite you to participate in an important program that HII proudly supports. Transitioning to civilian life can be challenging for many veterans, and as HII employees, we believe that assisting them through this process aligns with our mission to promote national security.
I am thrilled about our continued partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP), an organization that connects veterans with mentors at no cost to help them build successful careers and bridge the gap between military service and the private sector. Typical mentorship topics include resume review, interview preparation, career exploration, and work-life balance discussions. Mentorships are virtual and take place outside work hours, with a support line available for mentors throughout the year to ensure success.
I encourage you to become a mentor as ACP is on track to receive 20,000 applications this year, so they would truly appreciate the support. It requires just an hour a month for the next year, and your commitment can make a profound difference in a veteran’s life. You can learn more by visiting the ACP website and you can sign up as a mentor here. Please use the code HIIACP.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to serve our veterans.
Regards,
Edmond Hughes
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
