Dear HII Team,

I am pleased to announce that Drew Cummings has been promoted to the role of corporate assistant controller and will report to me.

In his new role, Drew will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective policies and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial data to management, the Board of Directors, and shareholders. He will also advise on external reporting matters and coordinate the implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures.

Most recently, Drew served as HII’s corporate director of financial accounting & compliance, where he was responsible for the company’s technical accounting and SOX compliance functions. Prior to joining HII, Drew spent over two years in the accounting policy group at LyondellBasell and nearly 12 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he specialized in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and SOX compliance, across a variety of industries. During his time at PwC, Drew spent two years at the firm’s national office, where he contributed to thought leadership and consulted on complex technical accounting and external reporting issues, with a focus on merger and acquisition transactions and related topics.

Drew is a certified public accountant licensed in New York and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
