“My dad worked here for 20 years in X33. He had been telling me since I was 17 or 18 years old, ‘Go on to the shipyard, it’s a really great place.’ He said if I show initiative and want to get better, people will come to depend on me. I talk to him on the phone now and admit that I should have come here sooner. I didn’t expect to be a lead rigger, but the crew has helped groom me into who I am now. I look to be better each day, even if I did really well the day before.”
