Ensure your beneficiary information is correct
No one wants to think about not being around for their loved ones, but it’s reassuring to know you have benefits that help take care of them if you’re no longer here. To make sure your benefits are paid to the right people, it’s important to have current beneficiary information on file for your 401(k) plan and other applicable benefits.
Your beneficiary designation determines how your benefit is paid in the event of your death. If you don’t name a beneficiary, your benefit will generally be paid according to plan rules—even if you have a will. Missing or outdated beneficiary information can delay payment to your loved ones or result in benefits not being distributed according to your wishes.
Make sure your beneficiary information is inputted correctly by logging in to your Alight Worklife account via hiibenefits.com.
THE KNOW YOUR NUMBERS PROGRAM
Make knocking out the Know Your Numbers program your first goal checked off your list in 2026. Remember, if you don’t complete your Know Your Numbers Biometric Health Screening and Health Check Survey by March 31, 2026, you will lose your $600 premium incentive. To make sure that doesn’t happen, schedule whichever screening appointment option is convenient for you as soon as possible:
- Near your worksite during a Know Your Numbers health screening event
- At the HII Family Health Center
- With your primary care provider (PCP), be sure to bring the Provider Health Screening Form to be filled out and submitted
- At a Patient Service Center (PSC) *Quest Patient Service Center (PSC) for Mission Technologies and Newport News Shipbuilding—Charleston Operations employees use only.
Already completed your health screening this year, but want to check in on your progress again? Email hiiwellness@quadmedical.com to learn about further health screening options.

Wellness Online: Start The Year Strong
The new year is the perfect time to invest in your physical well-being. Skip the extreme diets and punishing workout plans—sustainable health comes from simple, consistent habits.
- Move consistently. Aim for 30 minutes of activity most days. Walking counts. So does dancing in your kitchen. Find movement you enjoy, and you’ll stick with it.
- Prioritize sleep. Set a consistent bedtime and create a calming wind-down routine. Quality sleep impacts everything from your immune system to your mood and metabolism.
- Eat more whole foods. Focus on adding nutritious options—fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains—rather than obsessing over restrictions. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
- Schedule your check-up. Book that annual physical or overdue appointment. Preventive care is one of the smartest investments you can make.
- Small, sustainable changes beat dramatic overhauls every time. Start where you are. Take advantage of the challenges. Ask a colleague, family member or friend to join you. Build momentum gradually.
