Mission Technologies accounted for $750 million of HII’s record first quarter revenues of $2.8 billion. The 20% increase in quarterly division revenues was attributed to higher volumes in the C5ISR and Cyber, EW and Space business groups.
“The first quarter was a good start to the year,” HII President and CEO Chris Kastner said in the company’s May 2 news release. “Strong growth in Mission Technologies and stable shipbuilding progress provide a solid foundation for the balance of 2024 and beyond.”
On the earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Tom Stiehle added, “In addition to its very strong sales, Mission Technologies continued to win new contracts and has a robust opportunity pipeline that has grown now to $80 billion.”
Defense Daily reported that Mission Technologies’ quarterly results were “ahead of HII’s expectations” but noted that “the company is being ‘conservative’ with its guidance.”
