I don’t recall a time when the company − across all divisions − has been more focused on execution and meeting the needs of our customers. This makes it all the more important to stop for a moment and note that August is Ethics and Compliance Awareness month. I want to say unequivocally that nothing is more important than ethical conduct in every interaction inside and outside the company.
One feature of an ethical culture is that ethical behavior is not seen as special or rare − it is expected. We expect our colleagues and teammates to act ethically, and they expect it of us. Doing the right thing is normal.
That’s a work environment where people feel safe, included and respected. It’s an environment where we are all able to do our best work in service of our customers, and in service of the nation.
