Dear HII Team,
In the coming weeks all HII employees who log in every day will start to have new tools to support your work. This is part of a multi-year enterprise project to modernize HII’s digital infrastructure, in support of stronger cybersecurity protections and better collaboration among and between teams. It is absolutely my goal to give all employees the tools you need to contribute your best work.
You will quickly notice that some of these capabilities in the M365 suite come with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and chat embedded in them. You’ll find a chatbot assistant, and the ability to streamline workflows and support decision-making. The tools rely on enterprise-grade security measures to maintain strict compliance. Leveraging them in our office environments only makes sense, given our industry leadership in integrating AI capabilities into solutions for our customers.
I am confident in our ability to leverage AI capabilities to enhance our abilities to learn and contribute. Like the internet, AI is not essential to every task or project, but there is ample evidence it can augment human creativity and productivity in powerful ways. HII’s divisions are working on division-specific AI capabilities that utilize proprietary data and require specific permissions, and they’ll share more with you at that level at the appropriate time.
Our central enterprise hub for relevant AI information will be here and includes Dos and Don’ts and FAQs. The IT and Communications teams will evolve the hub as developments warrant and migrate over to the new enterprise intranet as soon as feasible.
Our approach is designed to ensure that we realize the potential for AI-driven competitive advantage. Together, we will navigate this transformation, and lead HII into the AI era —responsibly, securely and successfully.
